Aether can be started from the command line or a desktop launcher. For a complete list of options type "aether --help":

Set the x and y coordinates of Aether on the desktop.
Set the 'custom look and feel' of the gui.
Choose an alternate configuration file. Note: this argument is parsed before other command line arguments. This allows an alternate cfg file to be loaded BEFORE the remaining arguments are used.
Set the network interface used discovery of Athena.
Sets the total number of receivers requested.
Sets the total number of adcs requested.
Sets the total number of dacs requested.
Set the data type of the IQ data:
Do not use a titlebar when displaying Aether. Usually only used by Athena when starting/docking Aether to Athena.
Show a usage message on both the command line and as a popup window, then exit.
